Board Meeting Summary November 26, 2019
The Board approved the 2020 budget.
Member Services Report:
A new look for the cooperative will appear over the next few months. The Salem Electric logo now includes the words Electric Cooperative, a new website will go live in December, and the newsletter has been updated to a sleek new look for the new year.
Information Technology Report:
Ten Oregon co-ops came together to participate in the National Rural Electric Cooperative Cybersecurity Capabilities (RC3) Program. The program provides a web-based tool that co-ops can use to identify potential areas for improvement.
General Manager’s Report:
The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) has released an initial timeline for the next round of contract negotiations. BPA would like to have contracts signed by 2025 for implementation in 2028.
Updated Salem Electric Service Policies are available on SE’s website and include the board approved Schedule of Charges that took effect October 1, 2019.
