The Board approved the proposed 2022 budget as presented.
The Board Policy Committee reviewed the Contested Election Candidate Mailing section of the Elections policy and will present a recommendation to the Board at the December board meeting.
The Bylaw Committee met to review Bylaw 4.4(a) – Nomination and Election of Directors and discussed a proposal to change the last day to submit a nomination by petition from 30 days to 45 days before the annual meeting.
General Manager's Report
Tony Schacher announced that a long-time contractor has joined the Engineering & Operations Department as a new employee, and noted that in time for Veterans Day, Salem Electric crews installed flagpole ropes for two community organizations.
As part of the proposed facilities improvement project, engineers from Cooperative Building Solutions visited Salem Electric to begin the due diligence required for the design portion of the facility improvement plan.
